  38.     Maybe I can clarify the matter for you. APC commands are recognized
  39. (the stuff coming at a machine from outside) only by the VT200/300 terminal
  40. emulators. It's a terminal-like command sequence, and to be recognized and
  41. acted upon it must be received by an appropriate terminal emulator.
  42.     Terminal emulation is NOT active when transferring files or sending
  43. file-like commands from the Kermit prompt. It is active only when you say
  44. CONNECT. The command interpreters (Kermit command line stuff) are not 
  45. terminal emulators, the host o/s shell isn't a terminal emulator either.
